They will also pass on messages to doctors and other members of our health care team. Our staff work to procedures set down by the doctors and although they will always respect your privacy, they may occasionally need to ask questions about your problem to assess the urgency of your need. Please be aware that it is a legal requirement for staff to maintain the highest level of confidentiality with regard to patient records.

Community Nurses

Our team of district (community) nurses provide nursing care to patients of any age who are unable to attend surgery. The needs of each patient are assessed and care/treatment planned accordingly. District nurses are highly experienced nurses especially trained to work in the community.

Health Visitors

Our health visitors provide care mainly for new-born and very young children. However, they also help with on-going family care for families with older children. They run our child immunisation clinics on Wednesday mornings, carry out child development checks.
